Ida Barbarigo

1920 – 2018

A Venetian, she lived in her hometown and Paris. She stubbornly followed her personal pictorial line, working in successive series: ‘Promenades’, ‘Seggiole’, ‘Erme’, ‘Terrestri‘.

Guido Cadorin

1892 – 1976

Heir to the last ‘bottega d’arte’ (art workshop) of the Serenissima, in addition to easel painting he tried his hand at a variety of techniques: fresco, mosaic, textile printing, designs for blown glass, woodcut.

One of the most important European painters of the second half of the twentieth century: his art is intensely poetic, characterised by the sparing use of colour and by a few, recurrent themes: landscapes, figures, portraits, self-portraits.
